The motto of the HK company is “no compromises”. This goes for HK as it is a worldwide supplier of various counter-terrorist forces, law enforcement units and military units The HK stands for Heckler & Koch GmbH. The story of HK begins after WWII, when the original blueprints for Mauser arms were destroyed by the French. Three former workers, Edmund Heckler, Theodor Koch and Axel Seidel managed to salvage and save what was left from the original company and started a firearms producing company named Engineering Office Heckler & Co.

Soon after that they changed their name to what is known now and began producing arms and also other products. They became a supplier of the German Bundeswehr. HK diversified during the years and funcions now as three separate branches. The story of the company is full of lucrative jobs for the government, for example a $26.2 million contract for 65,000 handguns in 2004, a US Army contract to produce kinetic energy subsystem and many more.
